Mercian, the UK classic frame maker and restorer.. who are thankfully still going, have got an online app to let you choose all the options for your perfect frame....

https://www.merciancycles.co.uk/frames/57/frame-builder

my credit card is getting nervous. If my ebay trawling for the perfect frame goes on much longer I don't think I'll hold out

for me it'd probably be a black frame with cream head tube.. maybe orange lug lining... or maybe bianchi blue frame with cream lining.... decisions decisions

I saw this before. It was fun playing with all the different paint options. British Racing Green with Cream head tube and gold or red lug lining was my choice. By itself, the bike is not likely to happen, but I have a milestone anniverary coming in a couple years, so maybe a second honeymoon to the UK is in order.

Yeah, I have wasted a lot of time playing with that online frame builder. It's a cool feature and a great guide but I wonder how much it is used when it comes time to actually order a frame.

I guess it's quite handy as a checklist so you dont forget anything at the shop, or get asked something and decide without thinking about it... so end up with those bottle bosses on the wrong tube or whatever.

MUST RESIST!
