1981 Lotus Legend
Just had this dropped off at the house today. Won it on that auction site, but won't be able to actually see it until I get home to the states in December.
My daughter sent me some pics, which I thought I'd share. According to the vintage Lotus website, it looks like a 1981. Needs new bars and tires, but at a distance, doesn't look too bad. Especially for the price!

Congratulations, I was watching that Legend and you stole it for that price! Except for the bars and saddle it looks like a very original condition bike. The Sky Yellow seems to be the least common of the three available colors (Sky Yellow, Ice Blue and Black).
That was a $400.00 (new) bike back in the day and it's one of my favorite vintage Lotus bicycles. Tange Champion tubing, all Shimano 600 Arabesque, Kashimax saddle and Ukai 700 x 25c rims make for a super-cool vintage ride.

Thanks for the comments. I identified it from your website. Lucky for me that I have a buddy who lives in between Ocala and my house. He picked up the bike and delivered it to my house yesterday! What a guy. There is a bit of rust on the chrome part of the forks, so I'll deal with that when I get home.

Bianchigirl, I'm trying to collect a few bikes from down here, but they are all getting shipped to my Florida address. The downside is that I can't actually see them or work on them until the holidays. But it's like a big Christmas present to myself! lol I'm going to try to bring one back with me in January. All I've got here is my mountain bike. No Craigslist down here! Though it's not really vintage, I do have my eye on an older Cannondale Saeco road bike here. I always loved that color scheme. BTW, the admiral here rides a vintage Bianchi! Don't know what model yet.
