Very nice, thanks for sharing.

Translation for our American friends:

the bike of Michel Stolker from the small village of Zuilen is now proudly on display in the museum of said town. Stolker was a three-time competitor in the Tour de France but had his greatest moment of triumph in the Giro d'Italia, where he won a mountain stage. The bike was donated by Stolker and his brother, who rode it until recently.

Very Nice Locomotief
nice to see one that isn't mid to lower level which is about all we get here in the states.
Mel, Freek et al. would bike have been equiped with Simplex or run Campy Record?

Hi marty as written on the site https://www.m-gineering.nl/oldtech.htm

Locomotief Tour de France ca 1962-1965

Dutch racing history. May I apply to an original racing bike from early 60's, built by Locomotive in Amsterdam.
Original specification with Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleurs and laagflensnaven, Titan / Maes stem and bend, Brooks B17 narrow, welded Weinmann rims, Robergel spokes, and Conti 30mm tires, Stronglight Competition cranks (170mm) and hollow shaft and Weinmann 500 brakes which also do! The Televizier Squad Pellenaars drove aluminum Mafac Record cranks and brakes, but this is the time for a decent specification.
Locomotive would eventually be taken over in '65 by Gazelle, which utilize the knowledge in house got to the Champion Mondials, to develop

Locomotief Tour de France ca 1962-1965

Hollandse racehistorie.

thanks Wouter.
so I guess BG2's bike might have come with Campy Gran Sport derailleurs? or were these bought as frames and purchaser could
build any level of components he/she wanted? I do know that my RIH came with SR crankset otherwise all Campy and I understand
that was a frequent cost cutter in the Netherlands.
I love Marten's site, and his post to CR list. and Google translate does really well with Dutch! (and I can read a bit from
years of searching Marktplaats!)
