Down tube shift lever conversion

This has no doubt been asked before, but I haven't been able to search up the answer: I have a nice set of Suntour ratcheting shift levers for braze-on downtube bosses that I'd like to use on a frame without braze-ons. Is there a clamp-on conversion band made, or does anyone know a clever way to devise one?

They're available on ebay, though not cheap. Here's one example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/SUNTOUR-Down...item20bcf22436

I think that "model" specifically does not work with Suntour ratcheting shifters. But that sorta thing is the idea.

If you find something that does work, do let us know. Eh?
