montarino...
it looks like this bike - but its from a local seller in nj
he wants significantly more (175) but has admitted he doesnt know much about the bike
i couldnt find much either
its cool looking 70s cottered german made bike - pretty light
hurets deraillers, altenberger brakes
nice colors, nicely lugged, frame pump
i like the idea that it is a unique make
but i was hoping for a diamond in the rough - not just the rough
basically - i picked up a couple free or $5 bikes recently that i hope to flip into a trade so i dont intend

My wife bought one back when we were in college - I think it was around 1971. It was stolen a few years later. No complaints about the bike, but it wasn't anything special either - cottered cranks, wingnut wheels (the wingnuts were stolen once - but the wheels were locked and remained)., about 30 lbs.

cool cool
well - on my end here is my situation
3 bikes i will part with
-moto mixte - nice bike - did a 90 miler on it this summer - but doesnt fit (that well)
-raleigh sports (doesnt fit - was free)
-zebra sports (doesnt fit - $5 p/u - but has nice components / araya wheels in great shape)
i am not feeling like all 3 would be a fair trade for me...
but - i kinda feel like the moto for the montarino would be fair straight up...
and i dont really care about the other 2 bikes...
and i could use the space
also - the montarino is a good fit
but...would i be getting really rooked?
plus i like the seller - he is not big time flipper
just a nice fella trying to make a few bucks here and there

ended up dumping the moto and the raleigh for the montarino - cool bike -it worked out ok for both of us i think - moto didnt fit and the raleigh sports - besides not fitting - was free - so it basically it was a straight swap - i'll have to get up some pics - cant find any hardly info on this brand
btw - huret svelto RD so i think its a 70s (i think this was a RD made in 60s / 70s according to velobase
