Chains and Chainring width 6-7-8 speed.....
Is the width the same for 6,7,8 speed drivetrains? I need to get a crankset for an 8-speed setup and can't remember if the width is different than the 7/8.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes, aside from Suntour Ultra freewheels.
Incidentally, all* multispeed gears in the last half century or so use 3/32" gear teeth, but 9-11 speeds use narrower spacing.
*Aside from some oddball exception someone will bring up.
