Bikes: 84' Ciocc, 79' Shogun 1000, 76' KHS Gran Sport, 96' Schwinn Super Sport,

Just buy it, for a dollar you have a story to tell. The frame looks like an attempt to change the seat tube angle and leave the BB in the same place.

That was a travel bike marketed by Gitane back in the 70's. The components were pretty entry level (steel everything), but it was supposed to pack down more compact than a more conventional frame.

The parts on it say it's something on the lower end but you can't always just stuff just by that.

Short wheel base frames like that were popular in England in the 40's & 50's for time trials, I'm thinking the Sun Manx TT for example. Not sure if that is the reason Gitane shortened the wheel base.

Looks like '75-'76 based on the honeycomb dropouts, very cool frame.

i think $1 is CL shorthand for "BO", which is ebay shorthand for "best offer".
