anyone know
the story about this odd frame? notice where the seat tube connects to the down tube. i did some googlin, but came up with nothing. ad says it's a gitane with bcm lugs

Just buy it, for a dollar you have a story to tell. The frame looks like an attempt to change the seat tube angle and leave the BB in the same place.

Short wheel base frames like that were popular in England in the 40's & 50's for time trials, I'm thinking the Sun Manx TT for example. Not sure if that is the reason Gitane shortened the wheel base.
