Looks like a mid-range, upper entry-level Raleigh produced sometime within the last 10 years.

Bikes: I used to have many. And I Will again.

I just posted the same conclusion in your other thread. Like made in China 'Schwinns' today.

It has a "handmade in England" decal on the tube. The British spelling of aluminum leads me to believe that it may have been sold in England only. The guy I got it from was also British. I may contact him for some more details.

It reminds me of a top of the line model for a box store (i.e. upper, entry level, Shimano shift system paired with lesser brand brakes and cranksets). Rigid fork suggests a slightly older moldel but still probably this century.

I concur with T-Mar. Such a bike as equipped was sold for $250-300 range new. EU regs on product of origin is much more lax than the 'States. As long as you complete the last step of manufacture (ie. paint), you can claim it's made in the country it was painted.

Regardless, looks like a nicely put together rigid.

It would be about a late 90s Raleigh MTB. I would guess about the same quality as an American M50/M80 from the same era.

Just my opinion, of course.
