Two Purple Bianchis in the Project Queue

I don't find many Bianchis around here. There are not many of them, and the ones I see go high, outside my budget for sure. So its really unusual for me to have two Bianchis in the project queue, both on the repair stand right now. Including these two, I've only had four Bianchis pass through my workshop, only one Italian.

One is an early Cyclocross model, an Axis. The other is a nice rigid frame MTB: Incline. I don't usually pick up MTBs, but it is a Bianchi, its purple, and it had some really good (LX) parts on it. Both bikes have Celeste color contrasts.

I need to adjust my camera as the pictures look more like the bikes are blue, but they are both purple.

The Incline will be passed on to a new home. The Axis? I am not sure right now (its my size..... Of course, so is the Incline).

They are both Asian Bianchis, the Incline is from Taiwan, not sure where the Axis was made. Based on date codes, the Incline is a 1989 model. I think the Axis is pretty similar age.

Good score, Thrifty Bill.

- Though that Celeste bar tape & housing is going to eat into your margins a bit, I'd imagine.

Fortunately, I scored some Celeste bar tape a while back on line, picked up three sets worth (all they had). Cutting into the margin on both bike are tires, all four needed to be replaced. The Incline is done, we'll see what I find on that Axis BB next.

Very nicely done Thrifty Bill! I like the looks of the Axis! You should do well on the flip with that bike. I sold a celeste one recently for $260 recently. I would have kept it if it was my size.
