*Yeah, yeah, he is not on a bike. And I couldn't find a pic of him riding. I included this because in 1989, when I was a bike messenger in Boston, I collided into him. He stepped into traffic from between some parked cars without looking. I yelled "LOOK OUT" and then kind of dove off my bike and hugged/tackled him to the ground. It was a very low speed collision. I kept asking him "Are you OK?" and he was just super embarrassed. I was going slow enough that I was able to think of him and his well being and use my body to sort of roll and take the brunt of the fall and cushion him with my body. By the time we both got up and dusted off, he was laughing nervously. I said "Are you SURE you are ok?" He said "The only thing hurt is my ego" and then got on to a big tour bus.
I rode off and another messenger who saw the whole thing and was watching to make sure I was ok and to act as a witness 'just in case' said "Do you know who that was you just tackled?" I said "No" . He said "That was Richard Marx". I said "Oh. Cool. Who is Richard Marx?"
I went to Lowell High School. A year or two before you met him, we won a postcard writing competition sponsored by WBCN or WAAF to get a Richard Marx concert. It was marred by a rumor going around the school just ahead of the concert that he had said something unkind about us.

If you're referring to Robert Redford, the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was circa 1969.
Caught Married to the Mob last night for the many-ith time. It's still an enjoyable thing and Michelle Pheiffer does a great job. Jonathan Demme knows how to have fun. Enjoy his musician cameos, always. So, here's Matthew Modine on a bike. He's a dedicated bike commuter, apparently. Has anybody seen Hard Miles? Hadn't heard of that cycling-based film of his.
