I feel bad for the guy. I try not to critique others, especially those that have sustained significant trauma.

Hopefully he will heal quickly and get back to riding when able. Looks like he was having fun before the unfortunate event.

There's no reason to knock the guy at all (at least about cycling) I'm just happy he got out their and road, and shall also hope he makes a speedy recovery.. and trust me, I'm no fan of his.

I know how he feels. Last Nov. I was hit by a car doing between 20-25 mph. I had some of the same injuries as he has. I know the pain, 2 months of rehab, being told I would never ride again was too much. I even had some people say to me I was miracle, that was in rehab, most cyclist that got hit that hard don't live. I made jokes about the way I looked, the tacky way I dressed. End of June 2014 I took my first bike ride it was not a long ride perhaps 10 miles.

They been saying that they expect Bono to fully recover. They are only listing the injuries that are most evident they are not telling us about the internal injuries that he has suffered. Yes he has suffered some. The internal injuries will take 6 months to recover from. They are not telling the truth. Depending on his will I expect him to recover about 90-95%. Because of his age his full recovery won't be happening.

I really believe that without prayers and support of my friends I wouldn't be here today. I just hope he has the support of his band mates. I hope he has the support of his family too.

I have kept the helmet that I was wearing at the time of the accident so that I see it every single day. It's a reminder to take each day as it comes. I kept the bike too it's badly bent never to be riden again. I wish I could have kept the clothes that I wore that day but the ER had cut them all off of me.

So if I had offended you I beg your forgiveness for the little fun that I had with Bono riding style. I didn't joke about his injuries, those injuries are nothing to joke about. I wish him the best.

Appears to be a coaster brake reaction arm on the rear hub.

Walt and Lillian Disney on, well, heck I don't know what to call it, but it's a bike.

There was an 80's version called the Buddy Bike, although that name is now being used for a tandem with captain in the rear... marketed toward parents with special needs kids.
