Deda has started producing the stem, but they are back ordered. They've sold out their first run already.

I went with the Origin8 version in the meantime. Looks nice enough and will do the job until I can get a Deda.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

Yup, paring off those last couple of pounds goes with costs that shoot up exponentially as the grams come off. Weight weenieness can take you to esoteric mods that some will not consider as a good idea reliability-wise or safety-wise....but dang!, people still go for it. Witness this Malliard alloy FW that just sold last night at eBay......

Lightly used, mind you, and without a box too!...$180ish clams delivered and bought from a seller without a long record too!

For a stem, I wouldn't sweat too much about the weight if I were you. Try to catch those grams somewhere else safer and maybe cheaper......

Personally, I would just swap in a Cinelli of the correct length and call it good. But perhaps I'm overlooking/ignoring the weight consideration.
