Bianchigirl the bike is a little smaller (54) than my optimal size, which is 56. I lowered the seatpost a little and will do the same with the stem - it should still fit ok. Right now it's -15 degrees in Toronto, so it's a buyer's market. I'm planning on picking up as many bikes as possible right now, fixing them all up and then decide in the Spring which ones are keepers and which ones are sellers. I'll wait for nice weather to give each one a long shakedown ride, since that counts for as much as looks as far as the "keeper" qualifications. |

White bar tape would look the best IMO but obviously will get grubby quickly. Which is a look I actually like, shows the bike is in use.
Apparently Microtex tape is easy to clean up like new. Provides evidence that someone actually rides the bicycle versus leaving it on a hook its entire life. To the op, looks like a fun rider and project. |
