the brake levers are on the way and if you like what is above they wont disappoint.
i need some assistance though. if i go threadless should i get the silver, or black and silver stem? the seatpost is a silver thomson elite. http://www.ciclinovelli.it/imgart/3211328.jpg |
I am going to stay tuned.

Mistral cranks are one of my favorite cranks in terms of aesthetics. Can't go wrong there.

Silver - not to match the stem so much as to match the bar extender clamps.

I vote for the all-silver Cinelli stem - and, yeah, go with the threadless since you already have the requisite headset.

that is 3 votes silver 1 vote black/silver. the wife voted black/silver but i think she is looking at the pile of parts and not the completed assembly.
|
silver Cinelli . Mrs. G-A votes for silver too, 'cause it's Cinelli .
|
Those cranks are gorgeous. I vote silver as well.
|
I agree I like this already. always liked that crank.
|
Yeah the crank is great. I think once you get it all tied-in it'll be pretty cool.

Rare? Cool? Old?. European?
What is there not to like? |

Uh-oh

The shape of those derailleurs makes me laugh every time I see one.
|
Yeah, like a banana. :)
One of my favorite cranks of all time. It's so pretty! I like the black/silver stem. But I don't know the color of the rest of the bike. Silver/silver is the safer choice, it'll look good with any combo. |
Silver, For the same reason as Cudak888
|
I Like those cranks also and always wondered something.
My '84 Gran Prix has a very similiar crank but branded Raleigh and made by SR. Just a cheap knockoff of the Ofmega design or some sort of agreement? This catalog page indicates Mistral (at least for the upper models) but mine is marked SR on the back. http://sheldonbrown.com/retroraleigh...5/pages/1.html |
The cinelli stem is a no go. The carbon steerer on the easton fork requires a rear vertical clamp. I've got a black profile stem that can stand in until a suitable one I found.
I had also planned on using spinergy rev-x wheels leftover from my parents racing days. They have very low miles but won't do. They suffered a nick in the carbon in storage. I will risk a rev-x but not a questionable one. I've got a plan b for the wheels that may be just the ticket. |
