Hey Shutter, I have the same Latina model with the Columbus fork, Campy etc. Bought it new early 90's. Been hanging on the wall in a heated garage. Mint condition. What do you think its worth ? I am looking to get rid of it. Thanks Jeff

Help with Miele frame
Just purchased this Miele and wondering where this frame lands in the hiarchy of Miele frames. Bought this without components and hope that doesn't hinder figuring out its place within the Miele models. I've read other threads but don't see many with the same words on these stickers. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Also, plan on making it a single speed so any input or insight on the conversion would be appreciated.

I have a '90 Gara, also had the road issue moniker on it. My Gara is all Cromor (some years were 3 tubes only). But in any case, it was kitted out with a Shimano 600 group, and yours, being built with SP, should be higher on the list.

I don't know that much about these bikes either and have been trying to research this one. It has a Suntour cyclone derailleur (circa 1977). Not sure if it's original or not. In any case it's going to a friend of mine today who's been looking for a small vintage racer.

I just picked up a Miele, but haven't had luck identifying it yet. The color scheme matches pictures I've seen of a Miele Delta, but unfortunately, my bike has no markings signifying tubing type and my component set doesn't match others here. My seat-tube is 25.4mm as well as the handlebars. Quite a few Sakae parts, Dia Comp G brakes, some type of ambrosio wheels (very difficult to make out the writing on what's left of the wheel decals) on Suzue hubs. Shimano deraileurs, but I don't see a model name. The one thing that may make identification a little easier is that there is a model number stamped on the down-tube opposite the chainring. Number LS562677. I really like the way the frame fits and think it's overall a nice looking bike. My intention is to update the componentry to allow STI/brifters and make a commuter/light tourer out of the bike. Any information on what year/model or tubing I have would be great. It looks like Miele has a website now, but there is no contact info besides an address and the new company may or may not have any information from the company's past - it sounds like the old and new company really share a name only.

Also the image is from the left side and thus doesn't sow the drivetrain components that are good for getting an idea of quality and age of the bicycle.
Alas and alack, the MIELE bicycle company of today has nothing in common with the MIELE bicycles of Jim Miele who has passed away. The only similarity between the two companies is the resurrect name Miele.
BTW, in 1985 I bought a MIELE Equipe Pro from Pedlar Bicycles in Toronto; the bike had no serial number, was Columbus SL frameset and was equipped with all Dura Ace components. It had tubular wheels and tires and had COLNAGO bottom bracket shell.
Cheers from Miele Man

your image isn't of very good quality to show details that might help identify it.

I'm having trouble with the file size. bikeforums wouldn't let me upload the full size picture. I scaled it down 50% to a 800K file and then it worked, but it seems bikeforums has further scaled to a 100K file. Hopefully this is adequate. At least I got the angle right (I think). Also, my previous post lists the specific components I was able to identify. One other that may or may not be readable at this resolution is the crankset which is Sakae SX.

The model name is Lupa, not Luna. This one has been almost entirely rebuilt. OEM groups were new 105 or 105SC. I've never seen one with an Infinity tubeset, as this one appears to have.

Has anyone seen a Miele with maple leaves stamped in the lugs? I found a bike for a friend that had these. I have looked high and low and not found any other bikes with these. Does anyone know a model? Frame is a 58cm and he needs a taller frame and was thinking of selling it and we wondered what he has.....
Sorry for the picture quality but I took photo right before we started cleaning it.

Here's what I'm seeing; 27"aluminum rims, Shimano Z-series calipers and friction shift levers, pre-1988 logos. Everything is pointing towards an entry level model, such as a Uno or Nova, circa 1984-1986. An overall photo, drivetrain photo, tubing decal photo (if present) and the serial number, would all be an immense help.

I agree it is entry level, based on the components (actually they are Ambrosio 700c aluminum rims, could be replacements, didn't think to record the size) and the lug work which doesn't seem anything special. Serial is AS551166. It's the Maple leaves that throw me off, nothing life and death, I just thought they were a nice touch.
I have talked with over 30 Miele owners and no one has seen one with the Maple leaves like this one has. I gave up after the Canadian Vintage Bike Show and finally accepted that no one had seen a similar set of forks. I can't reach the owner who I think is on holidays but I did take some photos back when he got the bike, sorry for the quality as the sun was setting and I was using a phone. I did post photos on here Quote from back then "I provided T-Mar the serial number which was AS551166 and he advised made January 1985.". You also said you thought it was, "a 1985 Miele Nova". I have seen several Novas and all had a stylized letter M on the forks and the forks on this looked original to the frame. I just saw this thread and decided to try again. It probably is a Nova like you said, just left wondering by the damn leaves.....

Not decals as they had rust on them!! I asked the owner for photos but he is away and could only flip this one. I should add I have seen other Mieles with just the letter M and some with Miele symbol engraved in the same way on the same spot.

Mint Latina - One of my favourite bikes
Hadn't seen this thread before so thought I'd contribute some pics of one of my favourite bikes. Near mint Miele Latina with a lovely matching Campagnolo gruppo.
I didn't know what this bike was when I came across it and I am so pleased I didn't pass on it. It's one of the best riding bikes I've ridden and feels like a lot of care and skill went into building it.

Looks like I’m in the same situation as a few of y’all... I have a Miele road bike that has left me clueless to its age or model. Found at a thrift store for $20(!). Saw the lugs and got interested... saw a red decal with a dove and took it straight to the checkout. No serial no. Fork has been replaced with carbon. Original components replaced with campy 8 speed mirage. Only way I could tell it was a Miele is the pantograph on the seat stays.
I can’t post pics yet, but here’s what I can say... the bottom bracket has no markings but appears to be a cast Cinelli. Lugs are short point with a very small triangle cutout on the bottom of the head tube lug. Dropouts are Columbus arrowhead horizontal with adjusters. The frame takes a 26.2 seatpost. Color is black. Bottom bracket is Italian. Miele pantograph on the seatstays. Brake bridge and chain stay bridge aren’t like any I’ve seen in this thread. 3 cable things on the top tube. 2 mounts for water bottles. Pump peg. Braze on bracket for front D. No eyelets on dropouts.
Ill post pics pics when I get 10 posts... but any ideas?
