I don't need a casket, just a crypt with me (preserved) on my tommasini on a set rollers.

I just bought it, and also within 6 hours flipped it. Now it just has to be shipped. I'll take some photos for posterity, but I have a S&S coupler miyata coming to me from being painted. Need money to pay for other bikes. It is a vicious cycle. (poor pun)

This bike has been posted on other forums asking about it's authenticity: https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...97748972640609
What do you guys say? It's on sale for approx 250 euros but if you can't trust the stickers that 250 might be about 200 too much.

That head badge has me curious... Switzerland? What's the story there? Don't know if it's a Tommasini or not, but I will say it looks like a nice bike. $250 might not be too bad for it and if it is a Tommasini it's absolutely worth that. Wish I could make out what's stamped on the rear dropout.

That's pretty much what I had read about that bike on other forums and it's a relief to hear it once more.
Thanks for not making me buy a sticker for $250 guys!

Wow what a info in the lounge.
I have the opportunity to buy also a tommasini super prestige.
What sets this bike of is the paintwork, but what puzzles me enormously is the fact that there is no tubing decal on the frame.
According to the owner it's mid 80's.
Can anybody explain why the company wouldn't put a tubing decal on it

Andycapp,
On the toptube is the writing/decal super prestige and the frontderr mount is thru a bolt so i guess slx would be correct.
Any guess on the year of this kind of bracket guides.

Did anybody ever heard of the Tommasini's 'Barca' paint job.

Mine was placed over a very generous layer of clear coat and blew away instantly somewhere in Tuscany.
Probably twenty feet from the factory door.

I'll post the one I ordered for my Super Prestige one of these days.

Perfect. What year is the sintesi? Post 130mm? I didn't think about it till now, but we will be going 130 to 126 unless you have an 8spd wheelset collecting dust. You do have the extra click after all. If you don't have any more wheels, the 126 7spd should be fine. It is too good of a wheelset (and freehub) to not put it on something.

Yes, I have a very nice nos Record/Campy Omega set.
Probably have a nice set of Classic SSCs with Record hubs as well. Also super clean and fresh.
Might be just the time to drag those down from the rafters.
Might have to pick up a new cassette for either wheelset though.
I'll take a look in the next couple of days.
Lots of combos available.
