Cool Bike Stores

Tell me about some cool bike stores in your area. I travel around the midwest a lot for work and I am always looking for some neat stores with a large selection of classic used bikes.

Midwest is a bit broad? Any states in general? I like Yellow Jersey in Madison. Imagine twenty pounds of stuff in a five pound bag. Quite a selection of vintage steel and parts. If you just want to check out a lot of used bikes. Check out the used store for Budget Bicycles in Madison also. Though the "Budget" in their name is a bit deceiving to say the least. A lot of eye candy though.

If your ever around the Milwaukee area you should stop by the Waterford facility. They give free shop tours! Plus you'd probably get to meet the grandson of Ignaz Schwinn and president of Waterford/Gunnar.

RRB Cycles in Kenilworth, Illinois. Located in one of the poshest of north shore suburbs is Ron Boi's shop, locarted in an old farmhouse on Green Bay rd.. You can usually see some of his own frame creations along with a bunch of "stuff". Ron will talk your ear off too. And if you bring up rowing, you better plan on spending an entire day.

CycleSmithy in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood is C&V heaven. Hanging from the ceiling is owner Mark Mattei's extensive collection. Great place to spend an hour gazing at a wide range of vintage bikes.

I'm mostly looking for places within driving distance from Detroit, but don't let that detract you, I'm making a list of places for future reference! A Chicago/Wisconsin trip might be on the horizon soon!

That question is easily answered in here Portland.
If you want to visit a fantastic shop with a vintage museum with guys who know a mind blowing amount, check out Velocult.
If you want to buy vintage bikes, check out Sellwood Cycles or City Bikes.
