my neighbor runs scrap metal, he has a barn a few blocks from my house that he keeps the scrap at. yesterday i was going by and noticed a cheap mountain bike setting on top, i asked him if i could have it, he told me any bikes there i could have. i went back to get it and seen two more bikes under a bunch of scrap. one was a decent nishiki sport and the one under it was a fuji flair. i know the flair was a lower entry bike but this thing is mint. everything is original. tires, cables and tires. looks like it has never been ridden. i have it apart right now cleaning and regreasing the bearings and new cables. i took it for a ride, it rides nice but to small for me.i will post some finished pics later.

It's amazing what gets thrown out, just yesterday I was driving home and saw a guy parked at a service garage with his scrap trailer and there was a red frame and wheels visible poking out.

I stopped and looked inthe trailer and it was a Univega road bike, I asked if he wanted to get rid of it and he said "sure". Didn't even ask for money for it so I flipped him a $5.00 and loaded it up.

It's got a bent fork but it also has two good Araya alloys, decent Shimano DRs, good brakes, etc.

yeah, its crazy. i started cleaning this up and everything is coming out like new. once this thing gets back together its going to look like a brand new bike. it still has all the reflectors, which i hate leaving on but this one is getting sold.

got the freewheel and chain soaking, and have to buy cables
