What's the difference?

Looking at a set of Campagnolo NR and SR brake calipers I can't see the difference. Someone please help me here.

Depending on the year there's no difference.

Mid 80's SR calipers have cone nuts out front versus domed and they have alloy pad holders versus steel. If your talking about calipers for your '77 Paramount I dont think there's any difference.

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

As Maimijim noted, generally, SR = alloy and NR/GS = chromed steel brake pad holder
Frankly, the NR/GS with the chromed steel holders actually look better because of the chrome.
