Someone on this thread recommended to me Daniel Silva mysteries. So far I've read 4-5, and am on number 6.

Also reading a book called Redeployment by author Klay.

A while ago I tried a Don Delillo book. Heard he was great. White Noise.

Didn't finish it. Just didn't grab me.

Update on F. Scott Fitzgerald. While I couldn't get into his stories much.....can't really identify with the class of people he wrote about, I finally found out why one of my favorite authors, H.S. Thompson, when a young, aspiring writer, physically copied word for word, on his typewriter, The Great Gatsby. Just to learn how the flow worked.

I think it was in Fitzgerald's story Winter Dreams. Some of the paragraphs were mind blowing, how beautiful they were.
