As Flash mentioned, Keith is fine. A bunch of us are spending more of our Fuji time over at a Google group he set up about 6 months ago. Like me, he also goes through stages where family, life, etc. need to be the priority for awhile.
I'm sure he'll be flattered he was being asked about. Scott Do miss Keith's posts but glad to hear its just "having a life" getting in the way of BF. Once it gets cold I'm sure we will see some posts. |

I'm sure he'll be flattered he was being asked about. Scott Yes, Scott, flattered is an understatement, thanks all for your thoughts and wishes. Wow...where to start. - Wife's been out of work since she was laid off back on October, I've been working as much as possible and some nights to try to keep up. - Rebecca, my 7 year old fell off her horse in March and fractured (severely) her femur right up at the hip. 6 weeks of cast, wheelchair, bed pans, the whole schmear. Wife out of work was a GOOD thing for that :) She's fine now and almost back top walking normally. Titanium pins have to come back out in September. - Work's been a !@#$%^&*( with several large projects that have involved weekend work too. So, as Scott said...life and all. On top of that, given the finances, I'm getting questions about "all the bikes hanging in the garage"...so I'll likely have to do at least a token trim of the fleet along with some accumulated parts too. Hard, hard decisions... :( But, everything is fine, no tragic buffing wheel accident (I really LOLed over that). While I enjoy the Klein it has in no way diminished my love of the C&V side of things at all. The purple Klein Q-Elite is still in the stand awaiting assembly. Yes, the parts are "accumulated". I have some back PMs to answer, I'll do that very soon...and I'll try to drop in from time to time. Hopefully mid-summer we'll get the wife back to work...work will calm down a little more, and I can get back to some normality. Thanks again for the well wishes...you folks are the best. |
Google groups will eventually be the death of bf...

Especially sorry to hear about your daughter's leg Keith. Poor thing. Good luck to you and yours, and don't forget us over here.
|
Good to hear from you again, Keith. Best wishes with your daughter's recovery & wife's job hunt.
|
I hope your luck changes and you are able to get out and add to that February mileage.

And you, Auchen, are one of the few I know who are qualified to speak authoritatively on the matter :) |

You have a lot going on. I'm sorry about your daughter's accident. Good to know she's doing better. You are hereby relieved of bikeforums duty, but you must renew this waiver on a monthly basis. That is all. |
Keith- Sorry to hear about your daughter, glad to hear she's doing better. Mine (now 30) was the captain of her college equestrian team, and she was the jumper. I know what it's like to wonder if your progeny will be OK.
Meanwhile, if you feel it necessary to trim the herd of a certain Black Lightning, you know who to call. Stay safe Doc |

I was wondering where he went, also, but did not know if it would be socially acceptable to ask. Glad this thread happened and good to hear from him.

Good to hear that all is well with one of the nicest people to frequent these parts...

An instant Prairie Dawg by Khatful! Neat, I enjoy his Fuji posts and drooled over his CAAD and Klein in the posts here. Prayers up for his daughter, his wife's job status and for strength to keep up that schedule he is doing to stay above water.

To brighten our day some bling Keith did for my '81 chrome Fuji Pro, he also did the Superbe crankset and seat post.

Keith,
As others have mentioned, sorry about your daughter and hope she gets fully recovered soon. And sorry about your wife's job as well. Good to see you pop in once and awhile. Hang in there! |
Wishing nothing but good things to come for you and your family Keith. Thanks for the update and as Steve mentioned - thanks again for arranging the great ride last fall. Hopefully we can get together again this summer.
|
Hope things get much better soon for your family Keith!
We do have to see more of your latest polishing masterpieces soon as we need to balance things out in the C&V forum with DD all alone in taking up most of the "bling" slack lately and doing a good job at it so far..... Chombi |
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell people, but Khatful rode his first modern Columbus steel frame with Ergos, and he liked it so much, his head exploded.
Folks can send me cash in lieu of flowers...I'll make sure they go to Keith's favorite charity - Mother's Polish. |
Glad to read you're ok Keith, and that your daughter's terrible mishap is turning around and she's doing well. I know how you feel, as this year is one for my personal record book as well. My wife recently lost her job too, on top of other matters. But as long as you have your health, anything is possible and things will have a chance to be better. And that's something to be grateful for.
|
Great to see you here if even briefly Keith, I hope your daughter recovers quickly. With three kids of my own I can imagine how rough that would be.
Here's also hoping the wife finds gainful employment soon. It would be great if we could put together another group ride this year like we did last fall. . |
I didn't see that post - Keith, my best wishes go to you and yours, apologies for the smart alek post.
