Best wishes on better fortunes for you and yours .
I was polishing some parts yesterday, and thought
"How would Khatfull do this?"

cehowardGS 11-27-12 07:05 AM

[h=2]Okay, at this point, I am asking too, has anybody heard from khatfull??? I sent him a PM about a week ago..

Nothing back!![/h]

ScottRyder 11-27-12 08:52 AM

He's good, he's spending most of his time over on our Fuji Google group. Like all of us, life takes some of our bike time more than others. I'll make sure he checks in with you.

This is good to hear... I know he's a busy guy and do tell him he is missed here.

Those things everyone on CL spell as Fugi. But that's not important right now.

ScottRyder 11-27-12 03:29 PM

:D I had a few good scores on a "Fugi". I can't be the only one that searches for that spelling

Trying to bait me to respond eh? ;)

Thanks for the kind words folks. I hope to be more "in the fold" in the coming months:
  • All the kids are all healed and such, little one hasn't gotten back on a horse yet but that's coming I think.
  • The wife finally found temp work a couple months ago and, as of a couple days ago, now is deciding between TWO jobs (Scott, you didn't know about the second one). One closer to home for a little less money but working with ex-boss (and they adore each other), one farther away that would suck up an hour on the road...but a little more money and bennies. Tough choice.
  • The bunch of work I was doing to make up for her job loss is winding down.

So, finally, mercifully, everything will be getting back to some normality once she decides on which job and gets into the routine of it.

I really appreciate all the thoughts over these months...

Cheers!

-Keith

I'm still waiting to see the record equipped Klein :)

Pars 11-27-12 04:26 PM

Good to hear Keith... we've missed you!

Here's where she sits...cables and tape basically (and tubes in the tires :)) are all that's left. I have a couple things to do for other people then she's gonna get finished. The tires came on the aluminum Klein and the gray accent bothered me at first...I don't know that it bothers me as much anymore. Anyway, I have them and they're 97% new so they'll get used up before something else goes on.

All Record except for the chainrings which are Chorus 10, I wanted silver and not the UC coating. Seatpost is generic carbon, 3T stem and Ergonova bars, Selle Italia Turbomatic Gel Flow saddle.

thirdgenbird approved? :)

thirdgenbird 11-27-12 05:03 PM

Darn right I approve. The only thing that disappoints me is the wheels (because I wish I got them that cheap)

LeicaLad 11-27-12 05:25 PM

I'll just add to the chorus that I'm glad all is well with you, Keith.

Now, I really need to go re-study those polishing instructions. . .

cehowardGS 11-27-12 05:31 PM

Hiya khatfull, as you can see you were missed big time.. Welcome back!

ScottRyder 11-27-12 06:14 PM

Hey, your tires are flat .. really, c'mon man. Get with it! Good to see you back Keith, it's been just me and the Fuji threads for awhile.

I like this; I like the other Klein just as much (not as bi-coloral) Glad to have him around the forum.

He taught me, in an indirect way, to consider aluminum by specific bikes, not just "aluminum." His influence:

That Klein is hot.
Good to see your distinctive avatar (well, you too) on the boards again. ;)

noglider 11-27-12 08:59 PM

That Klein is nice. How does it ride?

As I mentioned above Tom it needs cabling and tubes, so I haven't yet ridden the bike.

Yep. I took a chance on the aluminum Klein after reading so many favorable reports about the ride. It has all the stiffness of my old Cannondale CAAD9 but isn't anywhere NEAR as harsh a ride. I think Gary Klein got aluminum very right.

I'm anxious to get on the carbon Klein. I've never ridden a carbon frame of any sort. It should be a hoot.

triathloner 11-27-12 11:27 PM

That carbon Klein is HOT, love it!

Captain Blight 11-27-12 11:27 PM

Hey Keith. Keepin yer powder dry?

Wow, you know how to stage a comeback! That bike looks so good it hurts.
