wild cat 20"

has any one ever heard of a wildcat. we think it was a schwinn from late 60s to early 70s

The Wildcat was a Murray bicycle in the early 1970s. It came in 3 versions: single speed with coaster brake, internally geared 3 speed with caliper brakes, or derailleur equipped 5 speed with caliper brakes.

The Murray Wildcat was my very first new bike when I was a kid. Single speed w/ coaster brake and front caliper brake. Color was red faded to yellow. I think it had a sparkly red seat.
This is the only pic I could find of one on the net.

Bikes: HUFFY BRC

There is two for sale in Vancouver B.C. Craigs List in "bikes" under "Vintage" boys & girls both gold with three speed shimanno stick shifters, asking $400 for the pair together.
