This bike started at $1350, the $100 and now $800. Is something wrong with it or is there something suspect about it.

Looks like it probably had a BIN price of $1350 with an $800 starting bid. If you saw $100, then maybe it had a $100 SB but an $800 reserve, and the opening bid exceeded the reserve - but it doesn't appear that way.

The bike has been re-listed three times with lower starting bids each time. I dont know enough about this brand to know why it isnt selling.

+1. Depending on how an auction is setup a 'buy now' price is lifted once the reserve/opening bid has been meet. I setup alot of my ads the same way.

The chrome replacement fork kept me from even looking at it any further, upon doing that it does have the original just not on the bike. No idea why it was exchanged. The siren of chrome perhaps.

These bikes get overlooked often.

Sometimes they sell for $1,000. even $1,200. but those were very clean examples.
I won an auction for one a few years ago in the middle sizes for under $800.
A deal in my view.

If they suffer a bit it is for the design of the lugs in my opinion, they evolved from the earlier historic style and are a bit clunky.
They do ride well. Just not a lot of cache.

Thanks for this reply. I'm learning day by day and one day may buy something besides a Schwinn. I know enought about the Schwinns to stay out of trouble.
