I recieved this bike today- I know more but also have questions!
Front logo says" M Riccione" with the background is a shell, on the chain stay tubes says MOD. PERLA
does this ring any bells??
good news-
I paid about one third as much for this as the Hans Lutz pictured behind her.
Campagnolo 150mm cranks and bottom bracket
Campagnolo hubs and Nisi rims
Campagnolo G.S. deraileurs and shifters
3ttt bars and a Concor junior seat-
weight of bike complete is 8.85 kilos-400 g lighter then my Hans Lutz 24"
Bad news
the pedals are bent and worn, they are cheap gippime ones-cant get everything good
the black tape covering the frame in front of the seat tube covers damage
it looks like someone bolted a steel clamp on the frame and crushed the tubing at several points
I wish the seller mentioned this but for this price I cant really complain can I??
the handlebars are bent-but I can fix them.
OUCH!!!

the campagnolo cranks are worth more then I paid for the bike!
Ohhhhh! the "C" word is all over this bike!
never seen a stem like this before. the bike looks early-mid 70's
more pics when I get here cleaned up.

Wow - two bikes in two weeks! You're a role-model daddy starting your daughter well down the road to C&V bliss.
- Or is that contributing to the delinquency of a minor?
I guess that depends on whether you ask mom or dad.

I like this one even better, but too bad about those top tube dents. Looks like it was from some sort of bike lock holder bracket. Hopefully the dents aren't too deep. It's near enough to the seat lug, meybe theres a hole at the lug big enough to have access to ease out those dents from the inside a bit??
Geeze.... Nelli almost beat me to getting a first Italian bike! Congratulations to your girl!....again!

I am happy I got 2, this one is a few cm bigger then the other, she does fit on it but this one is for next year.
I am gong to strip it down and see if I can get into fixing the dents and only repaint the back of the top tube, I can end the paint under the cable clamp, if I get the color match good then it will be a sound repair.
this was a hell-of-a-score price wise.
I should now get me arse in gear and get my PUCH together- and then get back to the new bike.
cant find anything on the net about the framebuilder.

Is this Postman ringing twice?
I read something about that, somewhere...
Whatever it is, it's a "Pearl"...I'd say if you have to ruin the paint getting those dents out of the TT, repaint it pearl white (oh and get some dupe decals so the name lives on).
At least she'll have a different color, unless she just loves everything in metallic blue.

Da Girls just digs blue- We visited the second hand sports store where a carrera 24", brifters and some campy stuff.
She dont like the brifters- she likes them on the downtube(thats my girl!!)
and it was red-she dont like red.
We talked to a cycle club that has a big youth program, about 300 kids.
He said to get her on a MTB as it is better training
I think I have a few words to say to him.
I hate MTB's -those filthy beasts-all those fussy cables and deraileurs out of adjustment.
Road bikes are so refined and elegent.

Hats off to you- I did not look at the seat tube decal so closely as it was so damaged but your guess is correct
