alas
I was browsing the thrift stores yesterday, my last day in Athens, Ohio, before returning to México. I saw my first ever Jeunet. It looked like it was a nice bike once, possibly all chrome, with Mafac racer brakes. The only parts of it that weren't rusty were the black painted lugs, and the aluminum parts. The aluminum handlebars were heavily oxidized. The pedals, cranks, frameset, chainrings, freewheel, derailleurs, solid rust. It had aluminum tubular rims but no tires. Red cloth bar tape trailing down its side. If I'd had a place to put it, I might have bought it just to strip it down. A year from now. My two suitcases are filled with a frameset, parts, and tires in sizes I can't get where I live. Just a little whining; nothing more.

Sorry seeds, that it was in such deplorable condition, but at least that lessens the pain of not being able to take it home.
-But I hope that the other goodies in your two suitcases made it worth the trip!
