Lotus Classique?
This bike is available locally and I was wondering what you all think about it? It appears to be a 1980-82 because it is red in color.
As I am considering building up a frame with newer components I was wondering if this is a more "desirable" frame than my Schwinn Super Le Tour.
Would appreciate your advice.
Thanks!

Assuming that it fits you--and the price is right. The frame is Tange Champion #2. And it's got a nice set of stock components--shimano 600 (arabesque)..depending on the condition of the components--you could sell them and end up getting the frame for free..
I have a 1982 Lotus Legend which is very similar-a little more chrome.
I don't know if the geometry on the legend and classique is the same but, I know that the top tube on my Legend seems long..21"/52cm size-with a 57.5?cm TT length.
I would make sure it fit you first.
Snydermann over at vintagelotus is also a great resource.

Yes, it is quite a bit nicer than the Super LeTour.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
