Decided that I didn't like all the various shades of brown,
so I have decided to accentuate the white. Going with white tape
and what little cable housing there is.
I hope I like it.
I also received the NOS Raleigh dust caps to go on my Raleigh cranks.

I think you will like the change. Hey, it's not permanent. I do like the brown frame.
Those caps do not last that's for sure. chromed plastic...

Picked up this Nishiki today. Photo is the sellers. Will try to get a few of my own tomorrow.
Not sure if I should keep it or flip it.

My Icetoolz E85 tool kit arrived from the UK on Monday. Comes with headtube reamer and facer and bb thread tapping bits and facing tool. No more having to rely on shops to finish up my frames!

There is a C&V classifieds forum:
Classic and Vintage Sales
and in this forum, if you are looking for something and have stuff to trade, there's this thread:

Yeah I've seen those threads but im not looking to sell nor trade. Just sharing what I purchased on CL at a steal.
Was hoping thered be a thread where anyone can post what they actually bought from Craigslist.
Now that I look at my post it does look like I'm selling it but not my intention at all.
Appreciate the help though.

This is 2 days worth
-- but i got a 2nd new production Campy Record 1" threaded headset (2nd as i received the first one a few days ago ) -- a set of NOS mid 90's Chorus brakes and a nice Comp Triple rear derailleur with the only flaw being the blemish right across the lettering which is visible in this photo -- sad, as otherwise it looks mint

This came a week or so ago, which is not today but close enough.
It's for my upcoming Mercian. AFAIK the last great square taper crank, a Sugino Mighty Tour.

A 1 1/8th threaded to 1 1/8th threadless adapter... that I don't need after all. Apparently I've got a 1 1/4 threaded fork with some wonky evo headset and needs a 28.6 quill stem. This MTB drop bar project seems to be very, very fickle.

Damn, I gave a frame away that had that headset and stem a week or two ago. They won't fit a drop though, most of the time. That was the time when the bar clamps were steel, and really wiiiiide.,,,,BD
