The Holdsworth, IRD, and Velo-Orange are all of the same maker. They always looked nice to me but I was skeptical. Now I have one, and I'm impressed. It's much better than I expected. I got the triple one, so now my McLean has tons of low gears. Shifting is better than ever. It seems stiff, too, though I'm not really powerful enough to assess that.

Here's the double. 48/34 with an 11-32 provides a range from 28.9 - 119. Not as low as Tom's, but pretty good. He climbs more than me, anyway

They delivered my new Soma Highway One handlebars about an hour ago. I had the old bars off and everything ready to go, I thought for a while the new bars wouldn’t go on my stem, but I finally wrangled them on without damage. I mounted my MicroShift levers and now I wait for my inline brake levers to be delivered.....maybe by Friday. Cool!
