Nice! If you like oats give Bob's Red Mill 10 Grain Cereal a try. Add some honey or turbinado sugar, berries and chopped almonds and it's a great breakfast that sticks with you a while. As a bonus, Bob's is a big sponsor of many bicycling events including various cyclocross races.

We have a local "guys" cooking club with 6 members including a couple of chefs. We take turns hosting themed dinners and tonight, it's nomadic food. My offering is goat shank tagine with onions, dried apricots and dates. The young goat meat's been marinating in North African spices for a day and it's just going on to the oven for 4 hours. Carrots go in later, then garnished with lemon rind and cilantro.
The rest of the menu includes a gypsy stew, Indian corn pudding, lamb kofka, flat breads, roasted veggies and finally for dessert, goat milk, sweet basil and honey "pot de creme" with stewed wild berries. Oooh, that goat looks REALLY good. :thumb: Not really related, but kinda, I had a genuine lamb chop last night, with brown rice & carrots, that was really good. :) Lunch today in a few minutes will be pre-fab burritos with sour cream. Quite a contrast in quality, huh? ;)

One of my favorite meals to take along is just a simple chunk of fresh french bread and a good cheese. It's quick, easy, and tastes delicious to me.

Back on that Asian kick, I got some Honey Sesame Chicken at Uwajimaya's today, & brought it home for dinner. Was excellent. :) They also had a killer deal on both pork butts and pork shoulder. I couldn't make up my mind, so I got one of each. :D

Early dinner today was that pork butt (which is actually a shoulder cut) with a big bag of baby carrots, and some Red Shell sesame soy sauce. The pork is so tender, you can't pick it up with a fork, it disintegrates. De-e-elicious, and I'll be eating it for at least a couple more days. :D
