27 inch wheel / tire / inner tube fitting
 

Hello riders!

So I will order up on the Internet some Panaracer Pasela for my old 27 inch Niji, I would like to go for narrower tires but I'm not sure it can fit.
I searched on the Internet but the answers are confusing, some say yes some say no so I'm not sure

If I order a 27x1 1/8 Panaracer Pasela, will it fit and keep a good and narrow shape with 27x1 1/4 inner tube and 27x1 1/4 wheel?

Yes, although I would use a smaller tube on the 27x1 like a 700-25. On the 27 1/8, your tube is close enough.

As for the 27 x 1/8, will it feel better if I change for the good size inner tube anyways, or it comes back to the same thing?

Every bike shop and on line bike supplier in the world will sell that size tube. I buy two sizes: 700: 18-25; and 700: 28-35. Wider tires get the larger size.

I buy my tubes from pricepoint.com, but that really only makes sense if you are buying in bulk, otherwise the shipping will get you.

Tubes are a pass/fail kind of thing to me. If they hold air, good, if not, no good. So until they fail, I do not replace. Now old tires start to crack. I typically toss old tires a lot sooner than old tubes. On old bikes I pick up, 90%+ get new tires, 20% or less get new tubes. Most get new rim tape.

On smaller internet orders, I recommend Jensen USA. Jensen gives free shipping for $50 orders (smaller than anyone else), and price matches their competitors.

Isn't 700 the modern wheel size? (like 700c) Because my wheels are 27"

Yes, 700 is the modern wheel size, and it does not matter for tubes. It does matter on tires. Google is your friend.
