Old bike

I'm sure others have seen this photo before. Apparently, the owner leaned the bike against the tree in '34 and left it there (for a little while).

Kinda cool, but I smell a fake. The base of a tree remains the base of a tree. They grow out from the branch tips.

Apparently it is the real deal but the description is false. Also I have heard that the external parts like the handlebars and fork might have been replaced or altered over the years due to people stealing them.

I am not sure about the parts though, i just remember reading about it a while back.

There's something similar in a park near where I live. It looks like a pile of parts on the ground, but there were two 2" diameter oak trees growing up between the fork legs and through the wheels the first time I found it, but they were hacked down when I took the photo. It's still firmly anchored...
