It's funny seeing this thread popping up again. Last night, as I'm tossing and turning, unable to sleep- I start thinking about re-rebuilding my 87 High Sierra in Black Chrome.

Do you have any pictures of the frame? I am trying to identify mine; I bought it just as a frameset and would like to know more about it. Mine is one with the smoked chrome finish but it was badly chipped when I got it. I like the look, as I use it for my lock-up-in-the-city bike; it doesn't look like anything special.
