Show me your Galmozzi

i know a few of you have em! and probably a few more of you will go to google to see what im talking about! but i picked one up in the spring and sold it to a friend it had a horrible sparkle green over rust paint job and finally (after he got it straightened out and top tube cable guides and water mounts added) it is ready for a fresh coat of paint im hoping to gather ideas on what the paint job should look like he and i are both thinking white panels on the seat tube and down tube (like we both think they came) but cant decide on the head tube as well seems like most of the ones google brings up look like repaints done with greg softleys decals i.e the lettering is too small (according to my friend whos been around A WHILE) hes not so much a computer guy so i told him id take a look around and see what i can find

so lets see em!

also im pretty sure his is a model SUPER from the early 70s going by the pat on the campy parts it came with

Bikes: 1986 Alan Record Carbonio, 1985 Vitus Plus Carbone 7, 1984 Peugeot PSV, 1972 Line Seeker, 1986(est.) Medici Aerodynamic (Project), 1985(est.) Peugeot PY10FC

This reminds me of the recent Hetchins thread.......I bet it won't hang around too long at the top of the thread list.....
Might as well ask people to show us their crocks-o-gooooold!

I patiently wait for a Galmozzi.

One of the few classics I really, really want at this point.

On my list for our trip to Europe next summer.

There are a couple Galmozzis in Minnesota that are very nice.

One of the fellows is a forum member and maybe if we are lucky he will post a pic.

Bikes: 72 Cilo Pacer, 72 Gitane GT, 72 Peugeot PX10, 73 Speedwell Ti,l, 75 Peugeot PR-10L, 80 Colnago Super, 81 Zinn, 85 ALAN Cross, 85 De Rosa Pro, 86 Look 753, 86 Look KG86, 89 Parkpre Team, 90 Parkpre Team MTB, 90 Merlin

How about "Show me your Galmozzi Pics"? I wish I could claim this as my own. Instead, I snatched photos of this Galmozzi on display at the 2012 NAHBS. Enjoy!

(I'm not certain, but this may be a repaint. The paint looks a bit too glossy to my eyes, and too unblemished when compared to the head badge.)

Here's a late 50's one I'm finishing up. Just waiting for the seat-post to come back from the chrome shop so I can button her up

Really some beauties in this thread.

Good to know I'll have a reference thread if I find one in my size someday.

Bikes: Tommasini SL, Ciöcc SL, Somec MS, Rossin Ghibli, many many more

Guess I'm arriving late to the party. First, here's my CC Galmozzi with Angelo Galmozzi for reference...

I was told by a Milanese that this champagne color was quite common.

How about a Galmozzi-branded Masi? I bought this one and flipped it prior learning it was likely built by Masi. Had I know, I still would've sold it, just for more money!

https://rorymasini.blogspot.com/2010/...-galmozzi.html

Also, all my Galmozzi posts, with lots more photos are at... https://rorymasini.blogspot.com/search/label/Galmozzi

Zombie thread but what the heck. I had never heard of this brand before now but the Galmozzi bikes look amazing! Just shows how little I know about classic bikes, I have a lot to learn!

Bikes: 1938 Raleigh Record Ace (2), 1938 Schwinn Paramount, 1961 Torpado, 1964? Frejus, 1980 Raleigh 753 Team Pro, Moulton, other stuff...

Funny, after discovering this Forum, the first thing I thought of was Galmozzi and the rooster. Back in the day a friend had one. Don't know what happened to either...

He was a bit of a tailor and made me a shirt to match my Torpado after I figured out the bottom bracket on his bike.
