1982 Colnago Superissimo

I posted more detailed pics in the 'pic thread' but I think she deserves her very own thread . I got it from the original owner. He said it had "maybe just a few hundred miles"...I think it might have a little more but its unbelievably clean.

Congrats! I have a blue one that has been ridden hard. Great ride! What size? Looks like the seat post was swapped. I believe a fluted SR post was original. The current post dates your bike. What rims and hubs do you have?

Thanks...its a 56 or thereabouts...as far as the seat post, you would know better than me, Im far from an expert. And these Superissimo models seem rare enough that Ive seen very few on my internet searches...the hubs are Record and the wheels are Campy Victory strada. Theyre tubular and have never seen glue.

I have one just like yours', but also in blue like SJX426's. I've dated it to be an '83, but I'm still not 100% sure after all these years...? You've scored a great ride. Lookin' good & congratulations. Get some glue on those tires & head out.

What a masterpiece, and my favorite era for Colnago decalling, especially the seat tube with the clover on the side like that. Looks like it was much too small for the previous owner looking at that photo.

Very nice. I kinda miss the one I had, but I am sure Mazdaspeed is taking good care of it.

Beautiful bike Hammy56. Just a note on aesthetics, and personal taste, but I like the brake cable routed behind the bars, and the front can be shortened up a bit so the height of the arc matches. Of course, you may prefer it the way it is. A small quibble on such a beauty.
