Further dorkification evidence for you - I wear a cycling cap backwards under my helmet. It makes a good sweat absorber in the summer (and a good cooler if rinsed in cold water) and makes a good head warmer in the winter (if I need more warmth, I add ear covers or a rain cover/helmet condom). I will occasionally - meaning rarely - wear the cap forward so as to use the bill to block the sun. I'm not particular about whose cap I use, as long as it can stay put on my Chombi-like head when the helmet is on. I'm currently using a Riv Atlantis hat despite the goes-with-absolutely-nothing color because it fits, is reasonably substantial, has a good sweat band and holds up to washing better than most.

Hee. I'm not getting this disconnect people have with hats and helmets being mutually incompatible. Also I've been told I look very cute in my cycling cap and not very dorky at all, and I think men sporting cycling caps look rather dashing. To each their own, I reckon. I suppose we've saved him money!

You're not a proper man unless you own a few hats.

fancy Rapha caps for hangouts, while a dorky Smith CPSC certified helmet for riding. at least me not bravely stylish enough, sad...

When touring: a newsboy cap, in wool. Need to get me one in linen for the summer.

Ibex Coppi, it has a small brim, ear flaps, and fits under a helmet. This is about warmth and function, not fashion.

Under the helmet I like my Woolistic Sputnik....comrade.

I love my Stormy Kromer too. Basic black.

Right on, great design and made in USA. I always wear mine when I go hiking or around town when it dips below freezing.

That's a very old logo for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball club (birds on the bat).

I liked Tubby alright. He's better than his replacement.

I wish I could take the polycarbonate outer skin off my helmet and remove the paint from it,
then I could paint it the same green as my bike!

never seen a green helmet.

A guy in germany is making new hairnets-I gave it a thought.
