New wheelset with Challenge Grifo 33mm's mounted last night. I noticed one of my brake pivot bolts was missing. Must have worked itself loose during my ride yesterday morning. Crap!

I am head over heels for this bicycle.

The Grifos look great and I know the performance is excellent.

Yes. That is so understated and subtle. Best of show!

Sweet!

I have some incomplete MAFACs around. I'll see if I have a pivot bolt.

Thanks Colonel! I'd appreciate that!
Jet, side shots with fenders. Well, kinda from the side. From recent rides:

With every addition/upgrade this gets better and better - and every time I see it, I ask myself how that can be! Those tires match the paint almost perfectly :)

I so wish I'd gotten to see this in the flesh before I left WA; not that I needed one, but here's another reason to head back for a visit. I think I'm going to rethink not going on leave while here :)

Thanks for the newest pics, Matt.

A real stunner....

Never get tired of looking at this Singer, it's so beautiful. BTW, if the Colonel can't find a bolt for you I've got one too, just pm if need be :)

One thread is not enough. The bike needs its own website.

I love this bike. A good examble of how one bike can be enough to satifsy.

ColonelJLloyd 03-31-13 03:19 PM

Northbend, I do not have a spare pivot bolt. Sorry, friend.

northbend 03-31-13 08:35 PM

You guys are great, you make this forum so enjoyable. Thank you. Thanks for looking Colonel, and italuminum, thanks for the offer. I just bought brakeset on ebay so now I good for spares for a long time. I am ham-fisted enough, I am sure I'd be going to that well again someday...

Again, thanks for the compliments everybody.

I thought about using Grifos on my Croll, but didn't have quite enough clearance.

A Grifo and the Almanzo tire are pretty close anyway.

Again, they look great on your Singer.

So beautiful! Those tires look superb (I don't normally go for anything other than black with tan sidewalls, but these tires on your Signer are an exception). I'll never grow tired of seeing this bike. The photo in the field with the snow-cap peeking through the clouds is worthy of a poster.

From whence it came....
