Derailer Bicycle Collective Closing.

Just a quick announcment the Derailer Bicycle Collective in Denver where many have gotten parts and help on Vintage bikes is closing. After a lot of thought and work the Derailer has made the decision to to close and hopefully go through restructuring. it is sad to say the last day for regular shop hours will be tommrrow December the 14th.

Sorry to see Derailer closing; it was a good operation. Hopefully they will come back stronger than ever.

A loss of any resource is a tragedy. Hopefully they will get it all sorted out and come back.

Bikes: old ones

I can tell you from personal experience that maintaining and attracting
new volunteer leadership and skilled volunteers is a very large issue in
keeping one of these things going.

It's a struggle here, and people get used up and move on in life.

If you have one near you and have the time, go and do it.

If I was over your way, I'd volunteer at the kitchen.
