-40 lbs. If I can't ride that day, run instead.

-4 bikes
. Five would be better. It's hard to send them up for adoption.

Get back on the Century-a-Month routine

Do Dairyland Dare, correctly.

L'Eroica

or
Mountains to Beach (NC)

When I realize I ran 3,000+ miles a year for 3 straight years, my riding mileage makes me sick. Fixing that.

Not really a resolution, but I've been putting off getting a bike rack for the car, but I have to get one this year so I can get out to some of the better places to ride in NYC. I'm in abit of a cycling rut riding over pretty much the same streets all the time, so I need to expand my horizons and get into some real good cycling territory. We've got some great parks to ride in, but they are a difficult ride to get to, so the rack is the way!

1. Ride LESS next year. I'm over 6600 miles for this year, have no hope of matching my best ever (6835 in 2007). It's gotten too obsessive. I plan on settling back to 100 miles a week, average.

2. Now that the business license papers have been filed, make a go with Syke's Cyclery (repairs, refurbishing, restorations). And not do like I did with my last business of burning out and ruining a good hobby.

Meh. I think I'll just keep doing what I've been doing. I haven't bought a bike for me in almost a year, and if Westminster doesn't have anything, it'll stretch into two. I futtered around with what was in the pile this past year, playing with the setup of the PE41 and repainting the Viner, and rode I don't know how many miles (I don't keep track). I'll continue to do things just about like that, only buying a bike when it is either special or interesting, and riding lots.

I have ideas about my professional life; this past year has opened up some real options and I will be working on my real work a bit harder. Good thing I enjoy it.

No longer allowed in studio: phone, computer, tablet. Kicked other human beings out ten years ago, this is an even better move...

Seeing as my shoulder is finally healing up. Thank goodness.

Buy no more bikes! 9 is enough.

I want to finish up all the bike I already own. And start riding them again.

Figure about 350-500 a week again would be a good start.

~Lose 15 lbs by l'Etape du California, and finish in the Top 100
~Write Gramma by hand once a month, and send pictures
~Write one postcard per week to my beloved gf
~Pay off mortgage and finish the year completely debt-free, but continue making mortgage payments into my savings. (Pretty pumped about that one.)
~Buy all the 7800 components for my beloved gf's baby Peloton, but let her install, properly torque, adjust, and fine-tune every aspect (except maybe building the wheels), with my sole participation being words. (Pumped about that one too.)

~Take my dog for at least one pleasure/training ride per month. She's 14 now and won't be around forever.

~Ride at least one century per month. (Completely flaked on that in 2012.) And finish at least two in Sub-5.

Bikes: Many

I did a lot of physical stuff growing up/working all these years and things are a bit worn. I need to be more graceful and expend energy in measured doses.

Like not shoveling 6" of heavy snow for a couple of hours.
