Help Identify this 3-speed cable

I need to order a replacement cable and housing for a friend with a 3-speed (IGH) trike. Can someone identify what cable it is that I need to order? I took it to the LBS, but they were unable to ID it.

This is the end that connects to the hub:

I think it's a Shimano. Between that and the hub you will have a bell crank like this.

Tough to tell but seconding that it does definitely look like a Shimano, Sturmey Archers had smaller/finer threading than what that looks like. If you have any independent LBS's that have been around forever they'd probably have one. You do also need that bell crank pictured above if there isn't one already on there.

They come in a million different lengths of cable and lengths of housing, make sure you measure and order the right size.

It's definitely not Sturmey Archer. Threading on cable-end is female, not male, and the hub doesn't have the chain connector. It has the "Bell Connector" like picture above.

Looks like that's it. Now I need to figure out exactly how long the cable needs to be, and where I can get a replacement shifter.

Thanks!

This is exactly what it is. Anyone know of a source for a shifter and/or cable?

Niagra has the cable but the end goes to the adjuster uses a pinch bolt in order to accomodate all cable lengths for various models. It does not look as good but it works.

That pinch bolt/adjuster is also available separately for about $2.

Or you can make your own using a regular shifting cable. The end goes into the shifter takes the same Shimano cable ends. Then again you either need to use a pinch bolt or crimp a sleeve to make a stop at the adjuster end.

The shifter is harder to find new.

The newer Shimano Nexus shifter will work but the gear indicator is reversed.
