The C&V Film Thread
It's still Winter in the Northern Hemisphere. The Northeast US has been covered in a Blanket of Snow. It's a good time to settle in, enjoy a beverage, and watch some old cycling films.
I know of some of the classics as "Pour Un Maillot Jaune", "La Course en Tete", "Stars and Watercarriers", "Vive Le Tour", "Eddy Merckx: The Greatest Show on Earth"
So, I've listed a few classic films. What are some others?
FWIW I have a playlist on my Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...eature=mh_lolz The clips are sequenced so you can just let 'em play.

How about the 1959 English made, The Questioning City?
Love the pipe while riding (0:48). Original tweed ride, perhaps?

Dag Otto Lauritzen made a fan out of me with his performance at the 1993 World Championships in Oslo. I think the DVD of that race is on Netflix.

Dag Otto used to be a special forces soldier. He wrecked his leg in a parachute accident and used cycling to regain his fitness. Don't think he had cycled much until his mid 20's. He also walked/limped about 60 km's on his crutches/cast, just for the hell of it.

"The Race For the Yellow Jersey" was done by Tom Spain for PBS in the 70's. Jean Shepherd did the voice over. https://youtu.be/2lg59-ovB34 It is a home movie for me.

60 cycles was also quite enjoyable. Good stuff.

For the spin bike I like watching a race 40 min in length or two 25 min stages. This guy is my hero.

I have done 30-40 mins at least twice a week all winter. I find I can enjoy it once perspiration starts to drip on the floor. 'not so much up to that point.
