I paid a kid to collect all the miles he could find. I ended up with:
1-The backpack. It was excellent, high quality.
2-The sleeping bag. Same.
3-The speakers, outstanding bag with a subwoofer/pair of satellites by Cambridge Soundworks (when Henry Kloss was there).

By far, the biggest bargain, in my opinion, was speaker set. We used it at picnics, in my office, and finally, it perished in a dorm room (I have no idea the facts behind that one). The sound was amazing, even if you hooked it up and left it in the bag.

I wondered why, all of a sudden, there were two of these bikes on local CL.

I was in an antique shop recently that had a booth full of Marlboro items. Lots of clothing, luggage, and camping gear, but no bikes.

Saw a Fuji folder in the wild yesterday, being used as a commuter.

I picked up one at the end of last summer that had been abandoned, I haven't done anything with it yet but I have a bunch of MTB components that are a little better in quality I can throw at it. I also Have some of the gear left, the zero degree mummy sleeping bag, the domed two man tent, the denim jacket, beach towel, 10x35 Tasco binoc's the sweat shirt and a bunch of new brass Zippo lighters, I had a gear bag and a cooler bag but when my house got robbed years ago the thief used them to carry out my stuff.

Why pay $99 for just a frame (with no fork) when you can have this whole bike for $50?

I remember buying two Trek 1400s from a guy who also had one of these folders in his truck.

He was pretty insistent that I take all three, but I didn't want to get stuck with the folder so left him to haul the thing to Salvation Army.
It was a difficult negotiation, getting the two nice, clean Treks for $100 each, but only because I wouldn't also pay the $35 he wanted for the red Fuji.
I didn't spot the Marlboro decal at all, so either he had removed it or I was forcefull enough in diverting my eyes away from the thing the whole time.
I think he was actually on his way to Salvation Army with all three when I offered to buy them in front of the local coffee roaster.

Sounds like he was held up in broad daylight by you! Where were the local constables? Nice score!
