Shoota, I thought you might get a kick out of these pics. I built up this 91, 7 X 2 with early SORA brifters. I got lucky and found a carbon fork from another C'dale that had the exact steer tube length I needed. Here's how it turned out. I sold it to a friend who wanted it for her niece. The niece liked it so much she became an avid cyclist. That carbon fork really changed the ride.

Well done Rocco, thanks for the pics! Is that really a carbon fork? It looks too skinny.

Ok new issue. Is it normal for quill stems to be this long? I went to push it down a little further and realized the grease line you see is as far as it will go down the tube. Maybe that's why it came loose, who knows. Could it be cut shorter or do I need a new stem?
