Bikes: A few ;)

Wanna help pick colors?

I know how much we all like to play (bike) dress up, so I'll offer my new project up for style guidance. The grouppo will be campy century grey, and the saddle will be a white Fizik Antares with red accents.

Bar tape= white fizik?
Cables= braided white Jagwire?
Tires=28's in Gumwall?

I'd probably go with black sidewalls.
You can also try a fade tape. This is one of the few bikes that it could really work well with.

Bring the hate on that fade. I know I'll get h#ll for it.

There is enough blue at the top of the bike. Bring the red up with cables and tape. Not sure how I feel about the white saddle.

I think the white saddle will look better than those black rims.

I invoked the Giro exception. Black rims work with this paint scheme, since it won the Giro in 87. Normal style guidelines don't necessary need to apply

The white Fizik saddle was cheap. As in "I'll never get to try those expensive saddles for that cheap". Had to get it. Plus it'll work on another bike if I like it. When it shows up in the mail I'll get a better idea if it'll work on this one.

Is this bike going to be a rider for you or is it just for looks/fun? Saddle color is much less important than fit if you're going to ride it. Now if it's for fun then a black saddle will set off the black rims much better.

Ooops! I didn't read carefully! DUH!! I thought you were going to paint the frame and redo it all.

I'd match the supplied pic from Jason. Looks killer, and your white saddle will make it look even better.

It'll certainly be a rider! Although likely temporary (year or so) until I get a custom frame to move the parts over to.

If you wind up using the white saddle, then yes, I'd go with the white fizik tape. But only if you have white brake hoods.

White tape with black hoods, housing, finish tape and saddle might look fine too.

+1 on this tape, it would look beautiful. White Fizik with red will match perfectly witch this tape and the rest of the bike. Also I think that blackwall tyres are better option than gumwall ones. And of course, try to find some white brake hoods

Bikes: Two wheeled ones

Another vote on the fade...it fits here. White housings, gum wall tires.

I had a sort of similar color bike and it came with gold tape...actually looked surprisingly appropriate.

Bikes: blue ones.

Just give in and do it like the pro's, and learn to live with the cleaning of white tape/hoods

The fade tape is cheap! I'll order some to try out. If I don't like it I'll put Fizik stuff on. The Gumwall tire debate really comes down to availability. I'll put Clement Strada LGG 700x28's on it. The new Gumwall version should be available in a week or two, and I'll order as soon as I can! But the black ones look/ride killer too...I hate waiting!
