centurion project

just picked up a p.o.s. centurion Le mans road bike. There's chips in the paint and he tagged it with a sharpie. it also Had suntour group set with bar end shifters and the smallest pair of drips I have ever seen ( they are the same size as the handle bars on my sister's fuji ace 650 comp lol) so I stripped it down im gonna put the microshift 10 speed centos on it with new alloy wheels and some old handlebars I have lying around also gonna re paint it. not sure what color it Will be so feel free to give I ideas. thus is going to take a while cuz I don't have any money at the moment but I willl be posting pictures on here tomorrow hopefully. feel free to give advise or share your story thanks!

Do you need an argument to ride an orange bike?

No joke; back in the day riders would put chiquita stickers on their bike because they were easy to find (sort of an anti-sticker sticker if that makes sense) and everyone ate bananas on a ride. It would be an old school thing to do for an old school frame.

Orange is an old school color because Eddy Merkx won a lot of races on an orange bike. So it is an old school color; this is my orange bike:

Okay, but "very unique"? Unique is an absolute. There are no degrees of uniqueness. There are degrees of orange perhaps.

Now back to your regularly scheduled discussion of bikes.

Bikes: 1973 Motobecane Grand Jubilee, 1981 Centurion Super LeMans, 2010 Gary Fisher Wahoo, 2003 Colnago Dream Lux, 2014 Giant Defy 1, 2015 Framed Bikes Minnesota 3.0, several older family Treks

SunKist would be appropriate. Or maybe Peel. Or Sunset Strip.

Centurion had a wonderful orange pearl paint. This Super Le Mans is for sale locally to me. Great color.

That is a sharp looking bike. The CL where I live has nothing but POS kiddie bikes and rusted out balloon tire bombers.

Why on earth are you posting that bike rather than buying it?
