The R500 project needed a set of wheels..
..so now it has a set of 28H CXP23s, DB spokes and Ultegra hubs. The good part was what they were attached to. 1999 Cannondale R1000T w/original tires, size sticker and other show room kit. The bad is that somebody tried to turn it into a hybrid. It was bought from a shop so the price wasn't a killer deal, but good enough.
Only difference from the catalog is the spoke count, catalog states 32H CXP23. Only blemish I've found so far is a shallow scratch at the front of the head tube.

The ugly part:

The second version of the Cannondale catalog has the correct wheel spec. in the technical section for the R1000T, but still wrong in the photo section.
This should be an easy build with the wheels shared with the SR500 for now.

That will be a great looking bicycle once you get some proper components on it. Out of curiosity, would that have originally come with a carbon fiber fork?

I hope so too. I think I'll build it as a distance bike with bar ends and possibly throw the on the Profile Airstrike. It's one size larger than I usually ride, but that maybe a good thing if I use the areo bars. I gutted it last night for cleaning and the one scratch on the head tube seems all that's wrong. I'm being so OCD WRT the SR build that this is a great change of pace.
photogravity, The carbon fork is OEM spec. It is different than the one my earlier CAAD3 had, however.
Brad
PS Anyone want a set of wheel reflectors to finish off a restoration?
