Bikes: Treks (USA), Schwinn Paramount, Schwinn letour,Raleigh Team Professional, Gazelle GoldLine Racing, 2 Super Mondias, Carlton Professional.

Here's other Giro D'Italia bikes, Different paint than yours but the same frame details. Yours is very similar to the Pro Model, but it's not. Almost like comparing the Raleigh Professional to a Raleigh Competition. Similar but different. Your frame set was built for Center Pulls, more than likely a mid to late 60's frame set.

Just finished my 1972 Carlton Pro.

Another Carlton Pro I found On the net, this guy is using 27" wheels on a frame built for 700c.

When I was a boy I spent many hours standing outside my LBS window staring at a then unobtainable black Carlton Competition.
To bring back the boy, a Raleigh wouldnt cut it, despite being "much the same thing".
I found and bought a blue Carlton Kermesse but couldnt reproduce the "feeling" I was after.

Thanks. I will be writing a full restoration report as soon as I can get some decent pictures. It's been raining here for over a week straight.
