Do you have an "old" and "new" from the same maker?

Let's face it, a lot of the brands we have are no longer made, and the brand is no longer around.

However, some are.

Fuji, Cinelli, Pinarello, Trek, Cannondale, Merckx, etc.
Even Diamondback and Giant, I believe, can span from steel to carbon.

Figure a 20-year span?

Let's see 'em.

Bikes: Giant Excursion, Raleigh Sports, Raleigh R.S.W. Compact, Motobecane? and about 20 more! OMG

I have Raleigh bikes ranging from 1967-2006. Oldest bike on the property late 40's early 50's Hecules. Newest bike is probably a 2008 Redline.

I swapped a bunch of Campy components, and I do mean a bunch, for this brand spanking new Trek Crossrip, plus a bunch of cash...

Yesterday, I found this Trek 1000, lying on its side in two foot high grass. I bought it for five bucks...

The early lugged steel Rocky Mountain I found at the Dump, a half hour earlier...

I'll say I included them in "etc." My catch-all excuse....

I also figure I'll catch some flack for "from the same maker...."

Bikes: Too many to list here check my signature.

I didn't see Bianchi in your list.

My '88 Trofeo is my oldest, well oldest rideable, Bianchi. Forumula 2 frame with the typical midlevel Bianchi mix Suntour drive, Modolo brakes, Ofmega cranks was OEM but swapped out for 172.5 Record.

And my '99 MegaPro XL Titanium is the newest, with Record

This is a cool thread. We should keep track of who has the biggest gap in years between models

Bikes: Waterford 953 RS-22, several Paramounts

This is sorta cheating, but Waterford is the progeny of pre-bankruptcy Schwinn. Sixty-seven years separates these two.

1940 Schwinn Paramount.

2007 Waterford RS-22.

Good thread, I have three pretty bikes from one of my favorit local brands: The very respectable and long existing RIH brand, all of mine build by Wim vd Kaay.

The oldest is from 73, i aquired the frameset from Elev12k

This one was build in 82 in a very unusual colour combination for a Dutch bike

And this is how the RIH's look when build in modern times: my 2008 build bike

I have two Bianchi too but they are separated only by 4 years so I guess that doesn't count, they are from 1937 and 1941

I also have a Masi and a Maasi does that count?

The Bianchi might be interesting due to the possible evolution of the drivetrain. The Maasi, no. But you knew that.

There is an interesting comparison of what could be a true Ferretti Masi and a "created" one on ebay right now though.

Bikes: 1986 Miyata 110

My father has a 35 year gap in his Raleighs. A '74 Gran Sport (pictured - wish I had a recent one with its new Honey Brooks) and a 2009 Grand Sport (not worth a picutre IMHO). If we count my '55 Rudge (bought by Raleigh - does that count?) it's a 54 year span. I'll put a picutre of that in as well just in case.
