Ross - Approximate Year / Model?
I came across this Ross on CL that got my interest. Being from Eastern PA, having a bike made in Allentown is of some interest, but I am having a hard time matching this one up with bike photos online. It has a most bizarre mix of components including Shimano 600 Arabesque derailleurs, Maillard front hub, but steel wheels, seat post and handlebars. The cloth bar tape seems to would infer an older vintage with the Arabesque. Is this an Allentown built Ross?

The other strange part is the geometry, being a 63.5 seat post, the handlebars on the tops are only 36cm which is not the most comfortable when climbing. Of course components could have been switched around, but it does not give a sense of being tampered with.
Repacked the wheel bearings, replaced tires and tubes, adjusted the brakes and while no lightweight (32lbs), it cruises nicely and shifts great with a 14-28 freewheel.
