Bikes: '83 Trek 970 road --- '86 Trek 500 road

I am too old and slow anymore to be seen on a carbon fiber bike. If I can mark a CF bike's wheel for a few minutes I'm good. The things look light though and the looks of some of them are starting to grow on me. It would be silly of me to invest in one not to mention out of my budget. My winter build will be lugged steel.

No new bikes here. No new old bikes either.
I'm good.

Bikes: Kirk Custom JK Special, 86 De Rosa Pro, '84 Team Miyata,(dura ace old school) 80?? SR Semi-Pro 600 Arabesque

Does dreaming (and saving count)? you be the judge

The non C&V part of the dream is Ultegra di2, the rest is modern build C&V

here is the dream:

Kirk custom, straight stays, internal brake cable routing, threaded headset for the classic quill stem look, Ultegra Di2, metallic chartruese with white luglining, white cable and tape.

Very super clean look with a bit of bright
